Awhile back I wrote a post about scoring the first chapter of The Black Dawn. Since then... well, I haven't exactly written anything else. I decided after we finished up the score that it was time to write about my experiences on the score as a whole, and as such, here's the result: on big mega-post that includes text, audio, and video covering the entire process, beginning to end:
http://curtisschweitzer.net/blog/?p=3004Sorry its taken so long-- although I did really start that post 15 minutes after we wrapped music on the last episode, its taken me until today to complete it. Still, I hope everyone enjoys a quick look into the scoring process (at least from my perspective) and enjoys seeing how we put the music together.
A special shout-out, of course, to my co-composer, Jeff Swingle, who's provided some of the best music I've seen on anything Webserials has produced, and for bearing with me when I wasn't always easy to work with. He did a great job, and I hope to see him working on many more Webserials productions in the future.
With that, please enjoy!
